Suzuki Violin Kids at City of Plantation Library & Plantation Historical Museum

The City of Plantation Helen B Hoffman Library and the  Plantation Historical Museum are excellent resources for families in the South Florida community. Over the years, children musicians from Suzuki Music Academy have enjoyed the opportunity to take part in City of Plantation programs and events held at both the Library and the Museum.

Helen B Hoffman Plantation Children’s Library’s “Story Time” Program

Children violinists from the Suzuki Music Academy visit the Plantation Children’s Library “Story Time” programs during the year for “Suzuki Violin Kids Play for Kids”. These special presentations with the Academy’s children musicians in the Library’s Children’s Room give families an opportunity to provide infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with an ideal introduction to the joys of classical music, formal classical music study and music making.

The Plantation Children’s Library annual “Teddy Bear Picnic”

The Helen B Hoffman Plantation Children Library’s annual “Teddy Bear Picnic” is great fun and high on our list of favorites..This truly charming family event is held in the beautiful courtyard area. Suzuki Music Academy children violinists have performed at the event that features storytelling and book readings by the authors of children’s books. Families bring picnic blankets, and picnic lunches. And, don’t forget to bring your favorite teddy bear for the grande finale, the Teddy Bear Parade!

“Winter Wonderland” open house at the Plantation Historical Museum

Academy children musicians have performed for “Winter Wonderland” open house that takes place at the Plantation Historical Museum in the month of December. The Museum’s members and supporters go all out to capture the spirit of the holudays with spectacular decorations and a display of holiday trees representing a full variety of themes and cultures. The Academy children musicians’  performance at the “Winter Wonderland” open house was made all the more memorable because it was given in front of the Historical Museum’s complete Triceratops Dinosaur skeleton!
